You should possess sharp writing skills and have the ability to understand more than one voice, adapting your writing skills as necessary to long-form or headlines. In addition to being an exceptional writer, you must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, and work closely with both the marketing team and cross-company departments. You must be able to create exceptional marketing ideas, write fresh and interesting copy (both short- and long-form) that differentiates Viewpoint Construction Software from the competition, and manage multiple projects from inception to completion, be self-motivated with a positive attitude and have strong communications skills.

The Copywriter is responsible for the conception and execution of innovative copy for integrated marketing and public relations initiatives, including web content initiatives, online advertising, digital marketing, print advertising and/or direct mail. The Copywriter will work closely with the Designer to create ad campaigns, improve and expand on rock solid concepts, and support all marketing initiatives for our Viewpoint Construction Software division.


We are seeking mid- to senior- level candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.

Duties:

  1. Generate, communicate and execute creative work via the written word, including writing and interpreting creative briefs.
  2. Write web content, email campaigns, editorial, white papers, eBooks, press releases, advertising, and customer communications, including all collateral that represents the company publicly.
  3. Learn and adhere to company branding guidelines.
  4. Serve as a brand champion who solves the strategic and copy issues with internal and external partners.
  5. Contribute strategically to the long-term vision of the brand.
  6. Develop ideas in brainstorming sessions, being a creative contributor to the Marketing team.
  7. Partner with Creative team to create and execute ideas.
  8. Partner with Senior Leadership on editing and writing key presentations for clarity and impact.
  9. Work with Events/Project Coordinator to meet goals and deadlines.
  10. Provide copywriting support on internal communications projects, as assigned.
  11. Follow current events, construction industry trends, business insights, and happenings in technology.
  12. Assist in developing communication approach and reinforcing messages.
  13. Understand project objectives and marketing strategies.
  14. Generate high-interest, audience-appropriate article ideas.
  15. Readily take direction from the Marketing leadership team and internal client.

Qualifications:Required

  • Bachelor's degree preferably majoring in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years copywriting experience in public relations, marketing, advertising or related field
  • Submit portfolio and/or website URL with application

Preferred

  • Experience in technology and B2B
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint at an intermediate level
  • Knowledge of Mac platform
  • Ability to conduct efficient Internet research
